Starry Quillow
This one I made for my mother for Christmas, 1995. My parents have a cozy stone fireplace at one end of their huge living room, and mom likes to sit there and read - with cold feet. When I gave her the quillow, she first didn't realize there's a quilt in this slightly oversized, but kind of flat pillow, and when she did, she thought it was the neatest idea ever to make a quilt with an integrated foot bag. She sometimes puts a hot-water bottle into this "foot bag" as well. I forgot to take a picture of the quilt, this is, I believe, a picture of the quillow, all folded up (which mom can't do - you should see her try and get that quilt into the bag!)
Machine-pieced and hand-quilted.
