Egyptian wallhanging
The fabric for this quilt came to me via Jean from the Atlanta Bunch. She ordered it for me from Keepsake sometime in 1997 or 1998,
I believe. It was backordered forever and came something like a year after it was ordered! I'm currently quilting egyptian figures in the black
border using gold metallic thread.

This is a quilt I made exclusively from leftover strips I had cut for Underwater Reflections.
I sketched the design real quickly onto a piece of muslin and sewed away without a great plan. It is still waiting to be quilted...
Size: 80 cm x 66 cm / 31.5" x 25", Date: sewn in the summer of 1999

A Tumbling Blocks quilt of enormous proportions. It's supposed to go on the sofa I draped it over in
the picture.
When I had sewed
the complete quilt (without the gap in the middle), I got dizzy just looking at it and was searching for a
way to quiet it down. I eventually came up with the idea to "tear it apart", with some blocks falling out
the bottom. In the meantime, the blocks in the left half are all quilted, and I'm starting those on the right.
(I'm quilting each side of each block, 1/4 inch from the seam). No idea yet how I'll quilt the middle and
the borders.
Size: 350 x 160 cm / 140" x 63", started sometime in 1997?

A quilt I started with the fabrics I brought back from our vacation in the U.S. West. I bought them
all in Cortez, Colorado, and was forever experimenting with them. I'm not totally happy with the outcome,
but that may be due to the fact that I don't much go for earth colors in the first place. No idea yet how
I'll quilt this one.
Size: 150 x 150 cm / 59" x 59", started in 1998

This is The pink and purple disaster quilt which hides in my closet since 1988. It's a monster in size, technique,
color and material selection, and will probably never get finished! I used polyester, wool, and cotton blends, and the thing is
full of quilt thread knots on the back, since I had no idea how to get these between the quilt layers yet.
As you can see, Reggie still liked it...
Size: Somewhere around 300 x 300 cm / 118" x 118"
