Here are some pictures of our current and former Quilt Inspectors

Rani

This is Rani, our new mommie cat. She was probably born in 2001. We got her from a non-profit rescue group in our area. She showed up at an old lady's doorstep when she was pregnant and promptly deliverd a single kitten there as well. We took her in when littly Lilly was only four weeks old. Rani is beginning to develop QI skills - she sits on my lap quilting and catches the quilt thread...

Lilly

This is Lilly, her kitten, born end of April 2003. She's the cutest little cuddlecat, curious, lively, and trusting. She's also becoming a QI - sitting on my quilting and trying to catch the quilting needle - ouch!

Felix

This is Felix, the cat from hell. Born end of May 2003. He came to us from our vet, who took in a farm cat for castration and found she was pregnant with four little ones. He's a little hellion of a cat. Nothing scares him, he's into everything, races up walls (I put a cactus everywhere he does that, and it works!), and sleeps with a big black teddy bear, the softie!

Reggie

"I know exactly where the center of this quilt is!"
Reggie was born in the spring of 1985 and came to us from a farm. He caught kitty fever when barely 8 weeks old and nearly died. I force-fed him hourly and dragged the poor little thing to the vet each day. He pulled through, and was the most adorable lap-hugger ever since. He fetched like a dog, talked incessantly (my husband and he had the most interesting man-to-man talks), could open doors, and was the most trusting personality I'd ever come across in a cat. He had chronic renal failure, and at age 17 1/2 left us for the rainbow bridge in October of 2002. We miss him more than we can say.

Daisy

...busy helping me quilt my Japanese Sampler Quilt
Daisy was born in the spring of 1986 and came to us from the shelter. She was a bit on the fluffy side and was always afraid the current meal may be the last one.... She snored like a human, loved kids, and was no more intelligent than a cat needed to be! Sadly, she succumbed to her chronic renal failure at age 16 1/2 in November 2002, only five weeks after Reggie left us. We knew it was coming, but it still broke our hearts when we had to have her put to sleep. Like Reggie, she left us in our home, in her familiar surroundings, and with Stefan and me holding her close.

Gina

"This keyboard is getting a lot of attention I should be getting!"
Gina was born in the spring of 1985, and had to be put to sleep in August 1998 (she suffered from a brain tumor). She was a small, lively, sometimes arrogant little lady, the most "cat-like" of the bunch. She loved flower bouquets to bits, loved to cuddle carrots (yep, weird), was nowhere to be found every time we went on vacation and did a final "are all of them here"-check in the apartment, and could holler like a lion.
She is sorely missed.

Stefan, trying to relax....

"Who says this isn't comfy?"
This is Stefan, trying to read quietly on the balcony. All the cats were being very supportive!
