Quilt 14

In Memoriam Ruth Evans: my R.C.T.Q. quilt, twin size
This is a quilt I made with some more of my red and blue scraps, and with white fabrics sent to me by Ellen in Ohio, and from the White-on-White FQ exchange Ruth organized. I participated in the exchange "in effigy" via Jean from the Atlanta Bunch. She did all the buying, washing, cutting and mailing for me, and then sent her husband over to Germany on a business trip to deliver my WOW FQs to me! Just goes to show what a great and helpful bunch R.C.T.Q. quilters are, doesn't it?
The small version is for the kitties... The pattern is Buckeye Beauty (I seem to have seen it under another name somewhere as well - maybe Jewel box?). Machine-pieced and machine-quilted. Felix is making sure the quilt stays put for the picture.
Date: Started end of 1997, finished end of 1998
Size: 170 x 250 cm / 67" x 100"
