There Are No Cowboys in Germany, lap size
This is a quilt I made from FQs Sarah bestowed on me when we visited her in 1997. I was a bit at a loss for
words when I looked at all these interesting prints of cowboy boots, branding irons, cowboy on a whirlwind, cows
in a meadow, riding cowboys, and some very colorful fabric with fairly weird-looking animals on it...It was quite
a challenge to put them all into a quilt, but I did it! When I started sewing this one, Stefan kept looking in on me,
saying supportive things such as "you're not really going to use these", or "we're giving this one away for sure,
but who do we like so little?"... But when the top was done, he actually liked it! And when someone from "Project
Linus", I believe it was, needed a boy quilt, this one was just the thing, so I sent it off to the U.S. After all, there are
no cowboys in Germany!
