Navajo Stars and Stripes, lap size
This is a quilt I made for my friend Ute for her 40th birthday. I found the pattern on the front
page of a quilting magazine and immediately fell for it. For the stars I used some of the
fabrics I bought in Cortez, Colorado, during our vacation in the National Parks of the West in 1997 (there are
little bison on some of the strips). By the way, the vacation was the one
that took us, among other places, to Las Cruces, NM. Guess whom we visited there? Hi Sarah!
Machine-pieced and hand-quilted.
