Double Irish Chain in blues and white, queen size
This one is our all-time favorite bed quilt. I started making it in 1990, and finally got it done in 1992, just before our wedding. Did I mention I'd never heard of strip-piecing techniques yet? I wondered how some people could do two quilts of this pattern in one lifetime, with all the little squares you had to align....You should have seen my face when some well-meaning quilting friend explained you could piece one of these in a weekend! Machine-pieced and hand-quilted.
