Quilt 1

Lap quilt with blue, green, and white triangles
This is the first lap-size quilt I made after the pink and purple desaster that hides in the closet since '88. The quilt is brighter in color than the picture shows it to be. The white fabrics have parachuting and boating teddy bears, little hearts, or little sailboats on white background. The quilt is machine-pieced and hand-and machine-quilted. I had no idea yet how binding works, so I sewed on a strip on the back and front and joined it with a folded-in seam at the edge. I had not yet discovered quilting thread either, so I used double sewing thread for quilting. A year ago, I accidentally washed the quilt with some other laundry that bled large brown spots over the quilt. After having a fit and then using de-coloring chemicals, I managed to get the spots out, but the quilt looks a bit faded now...
